Enter the kinky rock ‘n’ roll science fiction world with Brad and Janet as they encounter Dr. Frank ’N’ Furter, a transvestite in rhinestone heels from another planet, backed by their band of singing and dancing Transylvanians. Mixing horror satire with crazy dance numbers, musical spoofs, glitter and corsets, this is a party that’s sure to make you shiver with antici–pation!
Whether this is your 15th time or your very first, here are a few tips to fully experience and enjoy The Rocky Horror Show:
Dress to impress: Like the characters on stage, we encourage you to go all out and be fully yourself! Corsets, fishnets, and garters are always in style, but so are your favorite jeans. Take a chance and express yourself!
Audience Participation: Audience members are welcome to participate in the traditions of the show by talking back to the cast! Don’t be frightened; your level of participation is up to you, just be aware that your friendly neighbors may be die-hard fans excited to yell out the classic callbacks. Follow their lead and join in at your own pace. Prop bags will be handed to you upon your arrival to the Underground and it’s equipped with everything you’ll need. Please do not bring other props…it is already going to be a lot for our staff to clean up!
Advisory: The Rocky Horror Picture Show is not for the faint of heart or pre-teen children. High school students have been embracing the movie for over 50 years, but we recommend youth under the age of 16 should attend only at a parent’s discretion. The show contains explicit sexual references, strong language, and other mature content.
