Duluth Playhouse makes its home at the NorShor Theatre in the heart of Downtown Duluth. All our community is welcome at the Playhouse. Stop by and visit our friendly box office staff or schedule a tour.  We’ll see you at the NorShor!

Hours

Our building is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
On show dates, the Box Office opens at 5:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. for matinees. 

Getting Here

Ramp Parking

The closest option is the city-owned Medical District Ramp (302 E. First Street) behind the Sheraton Hotel. This ramp is also connected to the NorShor Theatre via the skywalk, and new directional signage will help guide patrons.

Alternatively, parking is also available at:

  • The HART District Ramp (125 E. Superior Street), via 1st Street on the left-hand side of the street, right after the Clayton-Jackson-McGhee Memorial (look for blue Public Parking signage!). This ramp is NOT connected to the NorShor Theatre via the skywalk.
  • The Tech Village Ramp (10 E. First Street) is directly behind Pizza Luce and just before Lake Avenue. This ramp is also NOT connected to the NorShor Theatre via the skywalk.

On-Street Parking

Limited metered and street parking is also available and is paid by the hour. Pay stations on the street accept dollar coins or debit/credit cards. Most street meters by the NorShor Theatre have a two-hour maximum parking time.

You can also use the Park Duluth app to pay for metered parking and/or add more time to the parking meter.  Those with disability license plates or a disability parking placard can park at a street meter for up to four hours free of charge.

Parking is not allowed directly in front of the NorShor. This space is reserved as a drop-off zone for our patrons with limited mobility.  For patrons with limited mobility, please visit our Accessibility Page for more information.

Public Transit

Local routes can take you to 3rd Ave. E. Transit Stop. From there, you walk southeast (toward the Lake) on N 3rd Ave E until you reach Superior Street. Turn right on E Superior Street, and the NorShor Theatre will be on my right. (2 min walk).

There are several bus routes with stops near the NorShor. Plan your trip online with the Duluth Transit Authority.

They also offer flexible rental options for a variety of events and activities.

Welcome to The Lab! This versatile studio and performance serves as a space for rehearsals, classes, and intimate performances to flourish. It was created in 2023 with the aim of providing a venue that serves artists with a place to grow, explore, and collaborate through education and artistic exploration. The Lab also serves as a platform for creative conversations, ultimately advancing the performing arts in our community.

Welcome to The Annex! Formerly known as The Encounter, this historic building has undergone a transformation to help support Duluth Playhouse’s continually expanding programming. Just one block up from the NorShor Theatre, The Annex is located at 201 E. 1st St.
